See Notchify in action

Real clips of the island doing its thing. Hover the notch and it all comes alive.

🎶 Always-On Notch Your music, alive at a glance. The idle notch quietly shows the current artwork with a live equalizer that dances to the beat, so you always know what's playing without lifting a finger.
🎵 Media Player DJ of your desktop. Skip tracks, pause the chaos, and keep your favorite tunes under control without hunting for the right tab.
📅 Calendar Because adulting is basically remembering dates. Keep upcoming meetings, events, and deadlines front and center so nothing sneaks up on you.
🪞 Camera Mirror Quick confidence check, no awkward surprises. Turn your camera into an instant mirror and make sure your hair, outfit, and “I totally slept well” face are meeting-ready.
📝 Quick Notes Ideas don’t wait. Neither should your notes. Capture random thoughts, to-dos, and genius ideas seconds before they disappear into the void.
📋 Clipboard History For all the things you copied and immediately forgot. Your clipboard now has a memory better than yours, so you can retrieve copied text whenever you need it.

How to download & install

Notchify isn't on the App Store, so macOS adds an extra step the first time. Here's the whole process.

1 How do I download Notchify?

Click any Download button on this page. Your browser saves Notchify-0.2.0.dmg to your Downloads folder. Double-click it to open the installer window.

2 How do I install it?

In the window that opens, drag the Notchify icon onto the Applications folder. That's it, open Notchify from Launchpad or your Applications folder.

3 What if macOS says Apple could not verify Notchify?

This can happen because Notchify is distributed outside the App Store. If macOS says Apple could not verify that Notchify.app is free of malware, follow these steps:

  1. Try to open Notchify, then click Done when macOS blocks it.
  2. Open the Apple menu in the top-left corner and choose System Settings.
  3. Scroll down and open Privacy & Security from the sidebar.
  4. Scroll to the Security section.
  5. Find the message saying Notchify was blocked, then click Open Anyway.
  6. Enter your Mac administrator password to confirm.

You should only need to approve it this way the first time.

4 Is Notchify safe?

Yes. Notchify is open source, so the full source code is available for review on GitHub before you install it.

5 Why does it ask for permissions?

Notchify asks for Apple Events / Automation so it can show and control Apple Music and Spotify, and for Camera access for the mirror tab. Nothing leaves your Mac. The code is open source so you can verify it yourself.

6 What do I need to run it?

macOS Sonoma 14 or later. The build is universal, so it runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

7 Is it really free?

Yes. Every app here is 100% free and open source. No ads, no tracking, no accounts. If you find it useful, a GitHub star is always appreciated, and a small Ko-fi tip would be a huge help.
